How does coaching work?
It's a little scary to try something new. It takes a LOT of trust to talk about personal things with a stranger. I fully understand and respect that. I work with my own coaches too, so I get it!
Here's the general outline that we will follow in every session:
-
We'll start by checking in - how are you, what's been going on in life?
-
I'll ask if there is something specific you want to talk through
-
We'll talk through those things. There will be
-
No judgement
-
No you-have-to sort of advice
-
No pushiness
-
-
As I have thoughts, questions, or want to clarify what I'm hearing, I'll ask before interjecting.
-
As we wrap up, I'll ask what has been helpful or useful to you.
-
I'll ask what, if any, feedback you'd like to share with me. This helps me be a better coach for you - I get the chance to learn what you need and appreciate in our sessions.
-
We'll schedule our next appointment, if that feels like the right next-step to you.
What does coaching cost?
Ah, the age-old question: can I afford to take care of myself? Legit - I like to know what I'm getting into before I commit too.
